Whose Play Is It Anyway? is an original production created with the Wharf Acting Company, and it is a project I’m incredibly excited to be taking out on tour and on to the Edinburgh Fringe.

This show comes from a love of collaboration, creativity and the unpredictable magic that can happen when ideas, personalities and performance all collide. It celebrates theatre in a way that feels playful, energetic and full of character, while also shining a light on the chaos, humour and challenges that can come with creating something together.

One of the things I love most about this piece is its sense of fun. It has a real energy to it and a strong ensemble spirit, while still being rooted in the kind of storytelling that draws an audience in and keeps them with you. It plays with performance, personality and the creative process in a way that feels lively, entertaining and full of theatrical joy.

Working on an original show like this has been a brilliant reminder of why I love making theatre. There is something really special about building a piece from the ground up, discovering its shape as it grows, and bringing together a company of people to create something fresh, bold and alive.

While my solo work is often deeply personal, Whose Play Is It Anyway? gives me the chance to be part of a different kind of storytelling experience — one that is shared, playful and created as a company. It feels like a celebration of theatre itself, and of all the personalities, ideas and unexpected moments that come with it.

I’m so proud to be taking this show out into the world, first as part of our pre-Fringe tour and then on to Edinburgh. I can’t wait to share it with audiences.
